Free Verse

Carter G. Woodson Weekend is vastly approaching, and as we get ready to share our campus with rambunctious high school students our special guests, we should also prepare to welcome the lyrically blessed duo Free Verse!

 If you found George Watsky entertaining, these two will give him a run for his money. Ayinde Russell and Dominique Ashaheed are not just poets; they are comedians, visionaries, enlighteners, and quite frankly, the purest form of entertainment there is. They have SOLD OUT college campuses across the country and have also toured abroad from countries like Russia to Thailand. They ARE the slam poets of 2013.

And for the first time in history, they will take the stage at Berea in Phelp-Stokes on Friday, February 15^th at 8pm prompt.
As always, this event is at no cost to you. The venue is sure to be packed, so please be sure to come and grab your seat early. There will be a meet and greet immediately following the show, so don’t miss your chance to chat it up with these two!
